Re: Script Quality

By Moffatt hating the 60s, you mean an interview from 22 years ago he did, which he has since disowned, was with two other people and is quite obviously taking the piss.

Re: Script Quality

The Curse of Fatal Death is clearly a parody attempt. True - it's not very enjoyable as a piece of "Doctor Who" and the humour is simply too immature to interest the older generation. I dare say some see it as an insult, especially as it was a stand-alone product unaccompanied by a "...

"Emotional complexity" in New Who... :floorroll: :floorroll: :floorroll: :floorroll: That's some funny stuff! Keep 'em coming, JMW, I haven't laughed like that since the Presidential election! :floorroll: The irony is especially sharp when you consider how RTD introduced his "new bab...

Re: Script Quality

I don't dislike like NuWho because it's new. I dislike it because it's poorly paced, wastes to much time on things peripheral to the story, so the end's are rushed. Moffhack will waste 5 minutes on a joke or something that is not really important to the flow of the story. In a 45 minute slot you've...

Re: There is a God after all

Well, bringing back an actor has been around since the 1980s - Sydney Newman famously stated that if the BBC listened to his reccomendation, they should bring back Patrick Troughton as the Doctor. Oh, and hi - first post on here. He also went on to say that The Doctor should then Regenerate into a ...

Re: Steven Moffat: So Long and Thanks for all the Fish Finge

I agree. Chibnall has an almost impossible task and I'm far from convinced he's up to it. lol the man who brought us "Cyberwoman" :floorroll: That clip where he is slagging off Pip and Jane Baker's writing is going to come back and bite him on the arse if he's not careful It will be taken...

Re: Mondasian Cybermen series finale!

Right. Don't bother responding to anything more that I say, JMW, as I shan't be reading it. And again, your "it's all fantasy!" mentality is what's ruined Doctor Who for many. As an example, we KNOW that there were never any sightings of dinosaurs rampaging through Victorian London. Thus,...

Re: Mondasian Cybermen series finale!

You know the last good Silurian story was WARRIORS OF THE DEEP. Consistent with the previous two serials and the characters are both alien and menacing. NUWHO killed them dead. Sontarans too by the way. Have spent a long time listening to how WARRIORS was the apocalypse and yet the same ones who di...

It's curious how people insist on species being portrayed realistically but when a species is depicted as having women that's suddenly unrealistic and an example of Stephen James Walkers taking over the world or some other alt-right bollocks.

Re: Mondasian Cybermen series finale!

Also with regard to the whole Silurian breasts, it's not as as if Vastra was shoving them in people's faces saying cor look at my green rack. In fact nobody mentions them in the show at all. It seems that this is just fans complaining for the sake of it. But they're there, and they are pretty obvio...

Re: Mondasian Cybermen series finale!

Strax is explicitly stated to be a nurse in order to restore the honour of his clone batch. I suppose Koschei believes this is because Moffatt's a Stephen James Walker or some such alt-right bullsh*t.

No, they bear no relation to what you want them to be Koschei l you think offering evidence free opinion as fact is a substitute for good argument it isn't. Guess this rather undermines the whole Moffatt hates the classic series line that is pushed by some on here. Must be one of those alternative facts I keep hearing about.

Re: Has Doctor Who become too politicized?

Kind of makes one wonder how much having this political agenda injected into show contributed to the backlash which led to Blake's7 rewatch and the Trump presidency. The great thing about Blake's7 rewatch and Trump is you blame things you don't like for causing them. I'm sure people in Sunderland w...
