Re: John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum (2019)

I really enjoyed the first two, Reeves is a bit clunky in the action sequences but that only makes them more real. I just wish the dog hadn't had to die in the first one.

Re: Line of Duty

That was a bit more like Line of Duty. Series 4 and the end of series 3 were far too dramatic in a really false way, but this was more like it should be. I thought the thing with the dying declaration was bollocks though (and it was a newly filmed bit of video so this wasn't planned all along( They ...

Re: So About Those Missing Episodes Then...

The fact that we all run right out and buy a compromised inferior product gives them license to continue to produce compromised inferior products. This. Same with the Blu-ray boxed sets. Whenever one gets released, people spunk all over themselves to order it before anyone else does, then spends th...

Re: The Sandbaggers

This series is the one where the writer went missing and other people wrote episodes, and it really shows although the first three were written by him! The chat between D Int and Burnside about The Dilemma was lovely though. Beautifully done. Do you know if there's anything notably suspicious about...

Re: Kingsman: The Great Game (2020)

I liked the first Kingsman film and, unlike a lot of people, found the joke scene where the reward for saving the world is promised very very funny. The church scene in the first film is one of the most jaw droppingly, funnily, violent scenes I can recall seeing in recent years. I had to watch it an...

Re: The Sandbaggers

Damn you all to hell. This genuine enthusiasm for The Sandbaggers is infectious and made me go out and buy the bloody set. I haven’t seen it since it was first broadcast here in Australia. My father was obsessed with it. It’s really bloody good, but a lot of it I’d forgotten (although not the end o...

Indeed.

The series pulled no punches and it gets even grimmer in places, starting with ... oh, the next episode! :D

Re: The Sandbaggers

You have so much good stuff to come and I don't want to ruin anything, but the relationship between Burnside and his secretary is wonderful as it goes along. That first secretary is the sexiest woman in it IMO, even when Diane Keen and Sue Holderness come along later.

Re: The Sandbaggers

I see your point and I feel the same way, but sometimes it pays to watch an episode or two before risking hard earned wadge! Review from The Guardian: https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2013/jun/13/sandbaggers-box-set-review DON'T read that unless you want the major event of series one totall...

Re: Rate “Arachnids In The UK”

Bugger. I was too busy and forgot to watch the bloody thing. Curse these 6pm showings. Anyway, thank god for iView. I've stopped watching the series after last week's bollocks. The prospect of watching this week was so unappealing, I watched F1 instead, which is about as bad as Sunday tv gets outsi...

Re: Rate “Rosa”

It also assumes Grace would have been wrapped up in American history, when I seriously doubt that would have been the case. Even the likes of Malcolm X have only really been in any way relevant in this country in the last 25 to 30 years. Do you remember when the biopic came out and suddenly we had p...

Re: Rate “Rosa”

When I tune into watch an episode of Doctor Who, I'm hoping to see a half decent science fiction story that grabs your attention for the duration. what I do not expect to see is a lecture on racism in 1950's America and how long it will take Obama to become President. Other than politicians themsel...

Of course you now have to source the backing tracks and perform all of the songs, Eric old bean. Autotune is your friend
