First draft.. Morrisian Rhapsody Is this some more Who? Is this just Harry Worth? Found in a landfill Buried twelve feet under the earth Open those cans Give them to PV and seeeeee It's just a game show From sixties ITV Who wants this? Do you know? BFI, they said no Nobody buys game shows, doesn't r...

Re: Rate "The Ghost Monument"

I'm not a fan of the title sequence. The arrangement of the theme is insipid. The thing most often mentioned about the original theme tune is how it scared kids, largely down to the bass line. Since it came back, this show has had arrangments that completely get rid of the bass. Imagine a modern ar...

Re: Rate "The Ghost Monument"

It could be worse.

She could be a woman written by Steven Moffat.

Re: Rate "The Ghost Monument"

The actual story last night was marginally better than last weeks, but I'm sorry, Whittaker just irritates me every second she's on screen. Have you tried taking antihistamines? AntiHERstamines. Get with the times, please :) Goodness. Take that joke back to the drawing board I reckon  (The poe...

Re: Rate "The Ghost Monument"

After watching this weeks episode I am now confident that the show is now just for kids as it is not structured or acted in a way that is interesting for most adults. The plot and dialogue is aimed for kids to understand. I felt just the opposite last week. Doctor Who since 2005 has felt aimed at v...

Re: Rate "The Ghost Monument"

It didn't take long for the new series to hit a huge bump in the road. Take out Bradley Walsh and it had nothing going for it.

I don't care how nice JW is and how much I want to like her, she is not the Doctor. Simple as that.

Tennant with tits.

Re: Rate “The Woman Who Fell to Earth”

I enjoyed it because it felt like it was written for someone who isn't a complete simpleton. I felt insulted by much of the last 13 years, the odd episode or scene apart, and it was refreshing to watch something that was just a fairly decent drama. I could have done without all the "realism&quo...

Re: Rate “The Woman Who Fell to Earth”

You know, thinking about it, the old cockerny bus driver geezer is probably as annoying a character to me as Adric was to most people. It's all a bit "back 'of the cab!", in the derek & clive sense. We shall see. Yeah but at least he's white. (this is a joke folks, it's called satire....

Re: Rate “The Woman Who Fell to Earth”

No character told every other character they met that they were gay When I was at university I met numerous bolshie lezzers who insisted on telling everyone they were gay. It's totally a thing. Used to happen when I was still .... comely.. too. Funnily enough they used to have a complete sense of h...

Re: Rate “The Woman Who Fell to Earth”

Watched it. It's not Doctor Who. The actress pretending to be him has no screen presence at all. Jodie is very likeable in herself (and no I don't mean I want to protect her) and I can't help but like Bradley Walsh. The other two are completely disposable and hopefully very soon, although with the B...

Re: Will you be watching series 11?

No interest at all in the PC sh*te, but I was less than overjoyed when Chibnall got the job anyway. Forget one half decent series of Broadchurch, he wrote some appalling Torchwood and Doctor Who. Then you have the box ticking casting for the new series and the gimmick lead actress (I refuse to use t...

Re: So About Those Missing Episodes Then...

The Invasion animation is by far the best of the animation projects attempted so far. Agreed and it's no coincidence that it was produced by a professional studio with a huge body of work behind it. The rest have been a mixture of good tries and disasters, the worst being Captain Pugwash Meets The ...

Re: Worst Acting Performances in Classic Who

Well, as I said, he is fine in everything I've seen him in, apart from Inferno. That bit where he jabs the coolant hose at the Primords is quite funny, certainly :) As for the other bad performances, most have been covered but I'd like to mention most of the extras over the years, particularly the ...

Re: Rate "Twice Upon a Time"

Quite enjoyed that but Bradley was awful and the writing for his character was worse. I won't have that. Bradley did the best he possibly could with the dull material he was given. That's all an actor can do. Look at those Tenth Planet reshot scenes and compare them to the surviving audio and clips...

Re: Rate "Twice Upon a Time"

Quite enjoyed that but Bradley was awful and the writing for his character was worse. It was pretty poor. I was waiting for him to say 'what a darkie doing in my Tardis' given the first doctor character descended into an awful mischaracterisation. The bragging about his knowledge of women was just ...

Re: So About Those Missing Episodes Then...

Ian's taking it well: https://www.bleedingcool.com/2017/10/09/doctor-who-shada-missing-douglas-adams-story-recreated-feature-length-animation/ Thanks for that. Dare I say that it wasn't £40 000 of his own money, as far as I recall? Also, Ian's version looks well ahead of this in terms of drawing of...
