Long on exposition, short of anything really engaging, didn’t like it.

Well....finally a story I enjoyed. Creepy...atmospheric. made sense with no BBC adgenda overly spoiling the episode. I actually enjoyed that.

I gave an 8. It would have been a 9 if the lady seemed totally unconcerned about her missing baby.

Still...a definate safe 8. (Cybermen are my fave monster so I guess it helped a little).

I went in expecting an 80's screwball comedy (could still be done, we should write it) and came with "Yeah, that was OK that."

Thats the longest I have lasted watching under the current guise without switching off.
Still gets a big fat zero though.
I guess that two of the blokes were having it away on the side occasionally, box ticking in the first scene.

Gave it 5/10 (Highest rating of the series so far ) first half was dull as ditchwater, the only highlight being Graham's hunt for the crapper :) but it picked up when the cyberman appeared,Whittaker was still awful as usual but at least there was no Chibnall lecture of the week

Still can't make my mind up. Good in parts but lots of jumping around and plotlines just left hanging. Jodie still awful and that bloody screwdriver thing glued to her hand - she'd be totally useless without it.

so. i wanted to dislike it but i didnt. that was really pretty solid today. Cyberman genuinely creepy. good combination of light and dark. still a murky blurry issue. but otherwise very solid and feeling a bit old school.

as of right now 55% here have given it zero.

i have hated parts of this series as much as anyone, but seriously??? within the best 2-3 episodes of the series and probably of Chibnall's 'reign'. i gave it 7.

Thank goodness we got an episode was was okay. I liked the atmosphere in this one and unlike the Judoon episode you can actually watch this as an episode unto itself rather than purely set-up (even though it's obviously a lead-in to the finale).

I'm feeling a decent 7.

I'm surprised at the generally positive reaction on here to this one as I really didn't like it. The humour didn't work for me and for once I found Graham quite annoying where previously I've liked him as a character. I thought Jodie was awful, with too many silly quips and too much of that bloody sonic. I lost concentration halfway through and so didn't really take in what the Cyberman/Shelley stuff was all about. Maybe I need to rewatch. 5/10 (and that's being generous).

Really enjoyed that one.

Easily the best Cyberman in Nu Who history.

Gave me a real Spare Parts/Silver Turk vibe.

Creepy at the start, but got a bit weird with the Shelley bit. Probably no surprise it was good as there was no sign of Chibs in the writing credit.

All in all light years ahead of anything last season. 8/10.

Nah, it was a bloke.

Chibs didn’t write it after all.

Cyberdude perhaps?

Mind you he was obviously British judging by his teeth. You would have thought they would have done something about his teeth when they augmented him, but obviously not.

With teeth like that it’s no wonder he’s the Lone Cyberman. :D

Pretty good.
Nice atmosphere. Really good use of the silver lummoxes...
Wasn't at all convinced by Byron and Co. though... The dialogue felt very unassured...

Really liked Ms. Whittaker's performance; especially the 'one vs the many' speech and the angry, frustrated "i can't win"...
Much more like the Doctor! Hope we get some more of the same.

Ryan ,as he's easily the most emotionless character in the series :)

Wasn't too bad. Kind of haunted house stuff with a difference. Spoiled by Jodie's whimsical quips and attempted funny retorts when confronted with an alien that could kill her at any second. Kills any drama and kind of makes the episode redundant. Not really her fault as obviously this is how the production team want her to play it. Liked the saving Shelley speech though, that was Jodie at her best and a shame she isn't allowed to treat the role with the proper respect it deserves.
I'll give this one a 5/10.

Displayed new levels of wooden acting from the Ryan & Yaz characters, with more poor scripting, shoddy direction, & story telling that just isn't compelling viewing. Forgettable tosh with a disappointing reinvention of the Cybermen

Classic seventh Doctor story Ghost Light (1989) this ain't. Check that out for how a ghost apparition story should be done in the DW universe.
