There’s a wonderful little surprise on the discs. A tiny touch which made me laugh. What a great package.

Thanks to donations from members I've been able to move Planet Mondas to a faster server. But I'm still working on further improvements. Ad Revenue covers the server fees, but not my time, so if you like you can buy me a coffee, which will help fuel me! Thanks in advance! Mat Sadler (matjkd)

Apparently on the interview on the disc Tom says that, aside from Matt Smith who was very nice to him and who he sings the praises of, everyone else ignored him on the New Who set when he filmed his cameo for Day of the Doctor.
Stay classy, New Who.
(Doctor Who) has been hijacked and redefined as a lucrative modern franchise. They've literally taken a square peg and painfully made it fit a round hole by taking enormous liberties with much of its fundamental essence. There's no turning back now.

I cancelled my UK pre-order and went with the Australian release.

Will the Australian release have the same packaging as the UK set and include the supplement missing from the US release?

When I asked them BBCWW told me Australia was going to have the same packaging.

I would think that would include the same extras.

Does anyone know ( without causing a huge debate) is there an option to watch in 4.3 fill , I'm not the biggest fan of black bars at the side. Thanks

I watched the first episode of Robot last night, I didn't see any option to change the way the picture is displayed.

I'm guessing it'll be in the original 4:3. Most TVs let you zoom in though to make the picture fill the screen

Why on earth would anybody want to watch it in anything but 4:3?

Michael Cochrane was apparently at at a con yesterday. Someone asked how he enjoyed working with Peter Davison and he allegedly said he actually met up with him, Janet Fielding and Sarah Sutton at the filming locations last weekend and filmed something.
Season 19 for the next Blu ray win. :)

Some of my friends went to see Genesis of the Daleks at the BFI and apparently there was provisional artwork for the Season 19 set.

Yes, if you want to butcher the picture by cropping, zooming and stretching it to widescreen, your TV's "aspect ratio" and "zoom" buttons on the remote will do that for you :)
