Why couldn’t they get real clowns!

It’s an outrage.

Thanks to donations from members I've been able to move Planet Mondas to a faster server. But I'm still working on further improvements. Ad Revenue covers the server fees, but not my time, so if you like you can buy me a coffee, which will help fuel me! Thanks in advance! Mat Sadler (matjkd)

Apparently there's this programme called 'Ru Paul's Drag Race' where men dress up in 'woman face' in a grotesque sexualised mockery of actual women :alien:

Looks good ,but do the beeb have the time and finance to upscale 1960s 405 line telerecordings to HD standard on the box sets budget (especially the first 2 hartnell seasons) .i think season 6 should be much easier to upscale due to the better resolution of the 625 telerecordings

People on GB seem to think that Evil and Snowmen are one the cards next despite no announcement. One of the animators tweeted something that seemed to suggest Evil might be coming, while there was a podcast that seemed to suggest The Underwater Menace.

Also, no announcement on the next BR release but Season 20 keeps coming up.

Maybe they’re going to announce them when they are ready for release rather than the usual situation of postponing the release date four times.

I am sure I read somewhere, most likely on here, that the plan was 3/4 sets year.

In 2020 there has really only been one, S23 was slated for release Dec 2019, and delayed until Jan 2020.

This has to be the longest period without announcement of the next release.

I image Covid has had an impact but surprised we don't get a release schedule for 2020, surely they have a planned order of release.

I noticed Rich Molesworth is Project Manager on the sets, and he is a reader of the forum, maybe he could 'leak' us some info...............

Excellent idea. I’m sure COVID has had an effect, but the UK took a long time to go into lockdown so you would think the vast majority of work on the set would have been completed.

As far as I recall the Pertwee set is the only one not to have its release date pushed back, so perhaps given the situation they want a stable release date.

There’s been no date for the Fury animation either. That was said to be mid year, but we are there now and no announcement. Again COVID may be playing a part here.

I heard somewhere Fury was set for September. :?
(Doctor Who) has been hijacked and redefined as a lucrative modern franchise. They've literally taken a square peg and painfully made it fit a round hole by taking enormous liberties with much of its fundamental essence. There's no turning back now.

The Doctor Who Club of Australia seems to have got a scoop here, even though it really doesn’t tell us much.

It tells us that they're full of **** and talking *******

"We won’t rush things; we won’t release anything until it’s the best it can be.” - unless you actually ask Peter Crocker, who will say things on Twitter like "oh we only did very minor upgrades to this one because that was all the budget there was".

And as for this BOLLOCKS about it being too much work to animate two missing eps of The Crusade - they animated two episodes of Faceless Ones that WEREN'T EVEN MISSING ffs!!

There was really nothing new there. They've already said they're not going to exclude doctors 1 and 2, and that Norton quote is several years old.

also its dated JANUARY this year... I think I remember reading it at the time. basically they are slowly working on things for the full range aware that as time goes on we'll sadly lose the few remaining people involved in the early eras of the show

But they’re all in colour now. None of those pesky b&w real episodes ruining ones enjoyment of the story.
