Although there’s been no official announcement it seems the Blu-Ray of S14 is being released on the 23 March.

Thanks to donations from members I've been able to move Planet Mondas to a faster server. But I'm still working on further improvements. Ad Revenue covers the server fees, but not my time, so if you like you can buy me a coffee, which will help fuel me! Thanks in advance! Mat Sadler (matjkd)

Wow. Not like them to be ahead of the curve!
(Doctor Who) has been hijacked and redefined as a lucrative modern franchise. They've literally taken a square peg and painfully made it fit a round hole by taking enormous liberties with much of its fundamental essence. There's no turning back now.

Strangely no date for The Faceless Ones animation.

Given the BFI screening you’d have to think 2 March would be the favourite for the release date.

I see Julian K of Roobarbs reckons there's an official announcement due at 9am tomorrow.

Officially announced now - April 20 in the UK (until it's pushed back anyway).

Just after Easter.

Probably the best season of Doctor Who IMHO.

Does it come with a free dreadnought?

Arguably the best season of Doctor Who ever (although personally I like Season 7 best)

(Oh wait - no I was thinking of Season 13! Well 14 is pretty good too :) )

Looks like Talons has the updated effects.

Maybe there will be others?

I’ll get this. Contains three perennial favourites The Deadly Assassin, The Robots of Death and The Talons of Weng-Chiang.

The new CGI rats should be interesting to see.

Ah! That's why I never went in for these sets before. It would be great if there was the option but updated effects.
But I thought your Classic Who was infallible? ;)

I've never picked up one of these Blu-ray sets, but I am a little tempted by S14 - Assassin, Robots, and Talons are stone-cold classics, and my affection for Face of Evil has grown over the years. It's a very good season.

It’s worth it (for me), seeing my favourites looking their best.

I came across a YouTube comparison video (DVD vs BD) that demonstrates this well enough (Earthshock), the colour grading for the filmed material is improved and the studio cavern scenes are darker. Better looking than the old DVD release.

Zavvi are the only ones I know of. That’s where I get mine from.

They can be useless at getting stock on time, but you pay in Aussie dollars so none of that foreign currency. :D

Zoom keep promising, but still haven’t delivered.
