God I feel old. Got into the Edgar Wallace mysteries when channel 4 screened them in the eighties. Some really really good ones in there too.

I would also recommend scales of justice and new Scotland Yard.

Thanks to donations from members I've been able to move Planet Mondas to a faster server. But I'm still working on further improvements. Ad Revenue covers the server fees, but not my time, so if you like you can buy me a coffee, which will help fuel me! Thanks in advance! Mat Sadler (matjkd)

Scales of Justice, the ABC series about corruption in law enforcement?

If that’s the series you are talking about Martin I remember it well.

There was another terrific police drama produced by the ABC in the early 90’s called Phoenix. Well worth checking out if you can find it.

Cheers Martin,

Looks interesting. There’s a lot of interesting stuff around if you just go looking for it.

This thing turned up this morning...

All I need to do now is pull me finger and get a decent Blu-Ray player to play it on...

Courtesy of Young Mr Halfabee my Box Of Frank arrived today.

Watched the first episode and Eric and Martin are spot on. I really enjoyed it.

Well worth seeking out.

Yeah right - “for the missus”

That’s what you say in WH Smith’s too I bet when you get your DWM.

But No, it's definitely for the missus. I'm not into all that Royal Family stuff but she just loves it. Suppose it keeps her quiet. As long as I don't have to sit through it...

As for DWM, I don't get it anymore. Gave up at issue 500 and before that, only got it sporadically and then it was only for cutting out pictures 'n' stuff of favourite stories for me scrapbooks. Believe it or not, I think I haven't set foot in WH Smith's since 2011... I dunno can't remember exactly. It's been a long time though.

I must confess though, when I did buy the mag saying it was for my stepson if the person on the till asked.

I recently bought a Frankie Howerd DVD box set...

Includes a 'Best of' compilation thingie, the complete Up Pompeii and Churchill Said To Me, which I think was never broadcast on TV for some reason.. That features a certain Nicholas Courtney...

I've watched a few Up Pompeii's, all good pre Political Correctness humour... Written by Talbot Rothwell( who wrote a lot of the Carry On films).

Titter ye not... Oh please yourselves..
