Doctor Who Experience Cardiff

Postby chap with wings » Tue Aug 07, 2012 7:36 pm

Hi All,

Went there yesterday with mrs W & Xander, utterly fantastic, we were in there for about three hours (and spent silly money in the little shop) I put lots of pictures on Twitter https://twitter.com/CouncillorEd , but Mrs W has taken loads more & I will upload them onto here as soon as they they are on the computer.

Thanks to donations from members I've been able to move Planet Mondas to a faster server. But I'm still working on further improvements. Ad Revenue covers the server fees, but not my time, so if you like you can buy me a coffee, which will help fuel me! Thanks in advance! Mat Sadler (matjkd)

Cool, I went to the London one twice and it was really good. I'm planning on going to this but holding back till next year. They'll be showing stuff from the classic series then so can do both in one trip :)

Norman Bates: 'Cause I don't wanna get messed up with the police. I can't explain it to you. Maybe you're right, maybe this is real... but finding out what happened to this girl isn't gonna make a difference to anyone. She's still gonna be dead, and you're still gonna be sick... and I'm still gonna be who I am.

Article about the Experience's closure.

The closure of the popular Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff Bay has cost Cardiff council more than £1.1m.

The attraction, which opened in July 2012 in partnership with BBC Worldwide, controversially closed last September.

It has now emerged that the departure of BBC Worldwide meant £1.147m was left outstanding on a loan because revenue targets were not met by the attraction.
