Thanks to donations from members I've been able to move Planet Mondas to a faster server. But I'm still working on further improvements. Ad Revenue covers the server fees, but not my time, so if you like you can buy me a coffee, which will help fuel me! Thanks in advance! Mat Sadler (matjkd)

Sorry I’ve been M.I.A for the last day or two.

I’ve set up a dedicated thread for the rewatch of Image of the Fendahl in the Tom Baker Era section.

Comment away to your hearts content.

Next week we will be doing Black Orchid, as chosen by heccypoo, and the following week we go back to where it all began with An Unearthly Child, as chosen by bowtiesarecool.

I will be tapping some other member on the shoulder soon to get their choice.

But for now enjoy Image of the Fendahl.

Nobody has posted in Fifth Doctor section for a couple of years, it needs a bit of life breathed into it. If only Tanlee were here then we could all watch Warriors of the Deep

Good point Shuz. Have just stuck a fresh Davison thread in there. Hopefully it might get some nibbles.... :)

Maybe Black Orchid can answer that one ;)

A nice little serial, but I was hoping for something a bit more substantial... :)

Heccypoo’s choice was Black Orchid, so that’s what’s up next.

It’s all very democratic here, we ask certain members and they choose.

After that it’s bowties choice An Unearthly Child, but do you want the next choice ant-mac?

That's very kind, thank you.

Are there any guidelines you'd like me to consider when choosing a Classic Who serial?

It can be anything you like, including animations and recons, or a combination.

It can be a story that people don’t bang on about that’s a hidden gem, a bit like Image of the Fendahl.

Something you like that everyone else can reconsider.

The choice is yours.

In which case, I was slightly worried by the length, but THE INVASION.

I absolutely adore an epic and, for me at least, I've never noticed any drag.

It also has one of the finest opponents the Doctor has ever faced... and the first official UNIT story to boot! :D

Excellent choice. It would have been mine.

The Invasion it is in a couple of weeks time.

So, this Easter weekend, BLACK ORCHID.

Next weekend, AN UNEARTHLY CHILD.

The weekend after, THE INVASION.

And if we're still in lock down after that, I recommend something by Eric Saward to help satiate the growing appetite for blood lust and ultra-violence... ;)

Sadly I think we’ll be in lockdown until the end of June at the earliest, so we’ve got plenty of time.

I've seen medical experts in both Australia and the US say that this current situation could "potentially" last for between 12 to 18 months.

Of course, there are simply too many variables to accurately predict how events will unfold and over what period of time, but it's perfectly clear that things won't be returning to normal any time soon.

I personally think this global pandemic will probably end up having more of an effect on our daily lives than anything else that's happened since the end of WWII.

I'm not even sure that Salamander could've had more of an effect. ;)

No, but look on the bright side it will be an excuse to watch a Classic Who story every weekend.

If we got a few more people commenting we could aim for two every weekend. It’s not as if we’re doing anything or going anywhere.
