Thanks to donations from members I've been able to move Planet Mondas to a faster server. But I'm still working on further improvements. Ad Revenue covers the server fees, but not my time, so if you like you can buy me a coffee, which will help fuel me! Thanks in advance! Mat Sadler (matjkd)

Rewatching this one, I basically had the same reaction as on tranSmission: Bill is a good new character, played by a good actress, Capaldi continues to be good... it was just the time-travelling lesbian puddle that could chase a TARDIS 23 million years in 3 minutes that was a bit (a lot) ridiculous.

I was even more confused by Matt Lucas, because in this one he appeared to be a squeaky robot, which he wasn't in The Return of Doctor Mysteroso? And the cyborg he was part of in Husbands of River Song was a 10 feet tall and made of red metal, so wha?

I was positively horrible about this on GB back when it was aired but now, having picked up the blu-ray set off Zoom for 17 quid, I found it okay.
Of course, there is zero expectation now, a semi-remembered story, a relaxed atmosphere to watch, all of which combines to create a totally different experience.
Was my initial instinctive review 'truer' than my current, 'wiser' yet out-of-context thoughts?
I remember feeling it was too slow whereas now I'm laid back about it. Surely on first watch it should grab you by the goolies?
Dunno, but I gave it 5 here,previously 2.
