SPECTRE and other James Bond stuff

Thanks to donations from members I've been able to move Planet Mondas to a faster server. But I'm still working on further improvements. Ad Revenue covers the server fees, but not my time, so if you like you can buy me a coffee, which will help fuel me! Thanks in advance! Mat Sadler (matjkd)

They should use Anthony Horowitz's two Bond books as a basis for the next two films IMHO.

Mine too. :)
(Doctor Who) has been hijacked and redefined as a lucrative modern franchise. They've literally taken a square peg and painfully made it fit a round hole by taking enormous liberties with much of its fundamental essence. There's no turning back now.

I treated myself to a re issue of a James Bond toy I had as a kid..

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Corgi-cc04206s-Martin-DB5-JAMES-43-Scale/dp/B01944NFXQ/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1530924687&sr=8-2&keywords=corgi+aston+martin

Afraid the gold, Goldfinger' one was too expensive, to I went for the cheaper 'Thunderball' version...

Still, it's got the working ejector seat, machine guns that pop out the front and the back, the armour plate that rises up from the boot and (something the original toy didn't have) rotating number plates...

I might get the Lotus Espirit Submarine car and Little Nellie as well...

I good job I don't mind ASDA's Smartprice cardboard food..

Film fans had their own theories for the reason behind Boyle's departure, with Paul Ferrer writing on Twitter: "Usual 'creative differences' is he wanted to make his own movie but Bond producers wanted to do as they have done for the last 50+ years."

Presumably he hasn't actually seen the Bond films, or he'd know that "as they have done for the last 50+ years" is meaningless - first, there isn't a "they" since Cubby Broccoli is no longer with us, and second, even he oversaw their development from lowish to mega-high budget, from relatively straight adaptations of the books to ones which only had the titles in common, from semi-serious to self-parodic... never mind the reboots and whatnot.

The next James Bond film's working title is apparently Shat on my Hand, er I mean Shatterhand.

That title is a bit naff. Surely there's something better in twelve novels and a few short stories that they haven't used yet...

Kudos for still trying to use Fleming-esque stuff, but the barrel has to end somewhere.

I suggest they start on Anthony Horowitz's Bond novels - "Trigger Mortis" isn't a bad title, although I'm sure something could also be done with the name of the chief villain, Jason Sin (!)

Even though it's now filming, the script is undergoing a further polish. At Craig's request, Phobe Waller Bridge has been assigned to liven things up
