SPECTRE and other James Bond stuff

"Shaken, not stirred", "We're the Sweeney, son - and we haven't had any dinner" and all that jazz.

"Bond went blaxploitation in Live and Let Die"

Weeeeell.....except it was based on a book written in 1954, and "blaxploitation" is generally considered a 70s phenomenon I believe.

Thanks to donations from members I've been able to move Planet Mondas to a faster server. But I'm still working on further improvements. Ad Revenue covers the server fees, but not my time, so if you like you can buy me a coffee, which will help fuel me! Thanks in advance! Mat Sadler (matjkd)

I don't even give a crap about the modern main Bond films, let alone a "universe".
(Doctor Who) has been hijacked and redefined as a lucrative modern franchise. They've literally taken a square peg and painfully made it fit a round hole by taking enormous liberties with much of its fundamental essence. There's no turning back now.

Daniel Craig Is Reportedly Returning as James Bond

Daniel Craig is all set to reprise his role as the iconic James Bond in Bond 25 after reportedly reaching a deal with producer Barbara Broccoli. Rumors have been swirling about Craig's return for a fifth movie even after he stated that he'd "slash his wrists" than do another Bond movie after the release of 2015's Spectre. It has previously been reported that the James Bond franchise is close to closing a deal to shoot the next movie in Croatia, which would make the news of Craig's return make much more sense.

Bond 25's been announced but nothing about Daniel Craig...

The 25th official James Bond film will be released on 8 November 2019, producers have confirmed.

The currently-untitled movie will be written by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, who worked on the last six films.

But it has not yet been announced whether Daniel Craig will return to play Bond for the fifth time.

Two unlikely parties have thrown their hats into the ring for the distribution rights to the James Bond series: digital giants Apple and Amazon.

It's not gonna be a woman. They are just trying to hype it up.

Watched Casino Royale the other day. Superbly directed but it did bore me a little.

Just watched Licence to Kill for the first time since... erm, the '90s! It was still great but I wish I hadn't cos it didn't live up to the memory for me. Love the dark beginning, though, where stop just short of killing Felix Lighter. They should have gone the whole hog and finished him off. Still one of the better ones for me.

A Martini? You have a woman's drink M'Lord! I bet you have never tried to hydrate 15 sailors stranded on a desert island with that!

Why not just have some female agent(s) involved in the story? (I reckon rather "00" they should have numbers starting "99" in honour of Maxwell Smart).

Bond set fire to the bad guy with Felix's lighter if that counts?

The clearest example I've seen of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nominative_determinism
