Thanks to donations from members I've been able to move Planet Mondas to a faster server. But I'm still working on further improvements. Ad Revenue covers the server fees, but not my time, so if you like you can buy me a coffee, which will help fuel me! Thanks in advance! Mat Sadler (matjkd)

I hope that some of the old cast are in it as well.

According to various fan sites and showbiz blogs Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray and Larry Hagman have signed up for it.

It wouldn't be Dallas without JR!

Anyone here old enough to remember Who Shot JR hysteria? The UK lost its collective mind over it. The film cans had to be imported by security guards at Heathrow. I don't remember anyone talking about anything else for about 3 months.

That does ring a bell.....vaguely.....anyway, it wasn't me. I assume that's what was being parodied in the Simpsons "Who shot Mr Burns" ?

I think I was being born around the time the episode "Who Done It" was being aired in the UK.

I have seen many features about who shot JR tho. It was thanks to that cliff hanger that Larry Hagman became the most highly paid actor on TV in the world. He was holding out for a huge pay rise and the network really dragged their feet to the point where Larry hardly appeared in the opening episode of the following season.

It's amazing just how big Dallas was all over the world. Nothing since then has come close.

I had thought that maybe this was a mistake and that it would be filling the slot left by The Colbys at 6PM but it's not. It is indeed starting tomorrow at 11PM.

Now I just want to know which channel, if any, will be taking the new series.

I've been watching, I'd forgotten how good it was!

A couple of things to look out for...

1. The brown leather chairs. These chairs move around Dallas to wherever they're needed. Keep an eye out for them!
2. The Southfork Ranch back-drop. Sometimes the blue skies of Dallas end and the lights hanging from the studio ceiling begin. Also the back-drop with the horses that never move.

Did you see the episode on the other night where Bobby befriends the young son of one of his temporary ranch-hands then the hand and his son leave at the end of the episode? ...

Yep saw that, and seen it many times before. I think he gets the odd postcard from him before being forgotten forever.

Another thing to look out for is for the phones. No matter where someone is standing there is a phone. In one scene from a later episode JR asks Sly to get so-and-so on the phone and he gets up and goes to the drinks cabinet. He's buzzed and picks up a phone right there on the spot.

Yes they never allow the absence of a telephone to spoil their shot in Dallas; one can magically appear anywhere, however improbable. Like the brown leather chairs they go to where they are most needed as if by magic.
