Sometimes it feels like few people want this one back?

Is that fair?

And what's wrong with this story anyway?
:?

Thanks to donations from members I've been able to move Planet Mondas to a faster server. But I'm still working on further improvements. Ad Revenue covers the server fees, but not my time, so if you like you can buy me a coffee, which will help fuel me! Thanks in advance! Mat Sadler (matjkd)

Must admit, despite everything I've heard about it - I'd still quite like more to be found from this one. :)

And I like that second episode, with the air running out - and the Doctor only making things worse with his "repelling magnets" theory - and Zoe realising that it might not work. All played with such conviction by the regulars.

And LOOSE CANNON's best guess at what Dom Issigri looked like.

We don't actually know for sure, of course..... :?

Agreed. I did watch the reconstructions of the missing parts but it would definitely be easier to form an opinion if the episodes were found. I agree about episode 2 as well. Those scenes of the Tardis team stuck in that room as the oxygen runs out was quite possibly the most intense thing I've ever seen put to film.

6/10
Whilst not Robert Holmes's best script, The Space Pirates still is an enjoyable enough sci fi romp, even if it does feel more like an rejected Star Trek episode than Doctor Who. I've never understood it's maligned reptuation and found Milo Clancy to be a fun character. I feel like if it did turn up again, it'd have a similiar reception to EOTW (Previously ignored or maligned story becomes reassessed as an hipster classic) as Episode 2 is hardly the best part of it. (Zoe in hot pants helps it as well).

Plus, Dudley Simpson's score for this is great, proof that 60s Who was the pinnacle for atmosphere and music.

All I can say is that if it was returned to the Beeb tomorrow and released on disc, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it, and I've never got round to finishing off the McCoys. In fact off the top of my head I don't think I've got more than half a dozen of 'em. But six episodes of Troughton??!! Just for the regulars alone it's worth having.

And yes I too like this Dudley Simpson music.
