The Day of the Doctor re-watch proved such a hit, that there's going to be another scheduled re-watch on March 26th, the 15th anniversary of Nu Who and the premiere of "Rose", with Russel T. Davies live-tweeting. Special bonus content will also be made available!

Thanks to donations from members I've been able to move Planet Mondas to a faster server. But I'm still working on further improvements. Ad Revenue covers the server fees, but not my time, so if you like you can buy me a coffee, which will help fuel me! Thanks in advance! Mat Sadler (matjkd)

So for 75 minutes we were all able to put our fears and worries aside and smile and what readers of DWM voted the greatest Doctor Who story of all time.

What the one with the Zygons and the paintings is better than "The Daleks" and "The Invasion" and "Inferno" and "Genesis of the Daleks" and "City of Death" and...

Who are these "readers of DMW" ???

Unless they've done a more recent survey, it was years ago that Day Of The Doctor topped the magazine poll for the first 50years, almost directly after that story was transmitted if I'm right, while it was still under the limelight.

If the poll was undertaken again I'd be surprised if it was in the top 5.

The last DWM survey came out in June 2014, the top ten stories being:

1 THE DAY OF THE DOCTOR (2013)
2 BLINK (2007)
3 GENESIS OF THE DALEKS (1975)
4 THE CAVES OF ANDROZANI (1984)
5 CITY OF DEATH (1979)
6 THE TALONS OF WENG-CHIANG (1977)
7 THE EMPTY CHILD/THE DOCTOR DANCES (2005)
8 PYRAMIDS OF MARS (1975)
9 HUMAN NATURE/THE FAMILY OF BLOOD (2007)
10 REMEMBRANCE OF THE DALEKS (1988)

I suspect the next survey won't be too kind to Talons next time due to it's present reception in post-woke society

Watched that in full yesterday, brilliant story. However I had forgotten how un PC it is!! Wouldn't get away with it now as a like for like remake. However the story outline was brilliant and the acting top notch too.

I think you'll find the people who vote for Talons (i.e old school fans)don't give a f**k about this modern wankery.
(Doctor Who) has been hijacked and redefined as a lucrative modern franchise. They've literally taken a square peg and painfully made it fit a round hole by taking enormous liberties with much of its fundamental essence. There's no turning back now.

Couldn't see Chinballs writing such a classic. If he attempted it then the villains would be caucasian males for a start.

It seems Rose’s 15th Anniversary is coming up on Thursday and the Day of the Doctor was so successful that RTD is getting in on the act.

I think more to the point is that none of Chibnall’s efforts would make any sane persons top 10 list.

Russel T Davies confirms the global rewatch of Rose will see the premiere of an exclusive prequel that was made for the 50th anniversary but was cut.

They also are a bit more prepared now and have a fancy new trailer

ROSE livestream and tweet-a-long, THURSDAY 26 MARCH at 7pm GMT. Come and have fun! Before that, Thursday daytime, time TBC, we’ll release ROSE: THE PREQUEL on the BBC’s Doctor Who website - it’s a lost piece of history from the 50th anniversary year, 2013. Never seen before! ROSE is available in the UK on BBC iPlayer and Netflix; worldwide, check your own resources (don’t ask me, I have no clue!). If you can’t find a copy, close your eyes at 7pm GMT and feel my psychic link. Yeah. I’ll be tweeting along, twitter handle to be named on Thursday! Plus more surprise to come. Oh what a lockdown this is! #TripofaLifetime

Blimey. Much as I tend to lump all the new Who showrunners together I actually found that that trailer reminded me of the excitement of the day. Full of panache that is totally absent from the last two years worth.

Even more weirdly, but very true, is the silly puppet Strax has more personality than ALL of the current Fam put together!

How low have we got when we miss all this???

New content with Jodie in character as The Doctor trying to reassure fans and children who may be worried about the pandemic

Has someone written the TARDIS wiki entry for this minisode yet?

Moffat kicked it all off with the new Strax introduction, Jodie did her bit today, Russel has something tomorrow, and now Chibs has contributed to the ongoing wave of new content with an exclusive prelude to "The Woman Who Fell to Earth"

"Dematerialexploding" is a word now.

Tomorrow will be a previously unpublished piece by Russel T. Davies (is this the Rose prequel?)

Presenting ROSE: THE PREQUEL aka DOCTOR WHO & THE TIME WAR...an alternative ending to the TV version that Russel wrote back in 2013 before he caught wind Moffat was using the War Doctor, were you a Youtube critic, you could sort of spin this as RTD hitting the hard reset button on Nu Who

Reading that, I pretty much make this canon in my head (the Night outfit on 8 intact and with Eccleston wearing it) and Moffat's bastardization (plus Big Finish and other merch honoring said bastardization) null and void along with Chibnall's run (so far) as a whole.

Lovely low key shade there, Russell.
