Thanks to donations from members I've been able to move Planet Mondas to a faster server. But I'm still working on further improvements. Ad Revenue covers the server fees, but not my time, so if you like you can buy me a coffee, which will help fuel me! Thanks in advance! Mat Sadler (matjkd)

Maybe you're right, maybe this is real... but finding out what happened to this girl isn't gonna make a difference to anyone. Doctor Who announcement: Has Rankin given fans a clue to the identity of the new Doctor?

Photographer may have accidentally let slip that Gallifrey's finest will still be played by a man

The BBC will unveil its newest star this evening in a live show starting at 7pm, but photographer Rankin - who did a photoshoot with the new Doctor - tweeted: "Just photographed the next Dr Who for tonight's announcement. Let me know what you think of the photo? He's going to be an ace Dr."

I have a lady friend I'm disagreeing with via text as we speak. She's disappointed the Doctor is caucasian and male again. 50 years it's been that way, but PC demands otherwise
Sexist
So she called me a racist because I'm glad he's caucasian and sexist because I'm glad he's still a man. Then she got so mad when I stated my case as to why (50 years!) and demanded we change the subject

That's okay, I can't bear listening to Moffat rambling on so I only watched the last five minutes. I'm happy with the choice. Will hopefully be a more serious take on the character. Doubtful, though as long as the new JNT, Moffat remains in power, given his complete misunderstanding of the character, but one can hope.
#William Hartnell will always be the 1st Doctor. The Doctor is male.

Moffat claims the gender can change. We all know that's bullsh*t! The day the Doctor becomes a woman is the day the last vestige of DW disappears.

And that's not sexist. I would be saying the same thing had the original actor been female and they were considering casting a male in the role.

Moffat, has done so much harm to DW, at last he has got something right. Now he wants to quit while he's ahead.

If Idris died or Luther could regenerate and suddenly he was a caucasian actor or woman, I'd cry foul too.

Yes, that is intentionally sexist, but is designed to demonstrate that even in this PC 'dare not say a word in case we are labelled something' that essentially we are still human beings and as such need to retain a sense of humor!!

The day that talented maestro panders to the whims of an aspie monkey who's grown out of the show is the day demented fanboys control this franchise, and that's the last f*****g thing it needs. You got your way in the 80s and you killed the show.

JNT was never the problem. Moffat is not the problem. The cancer of the show has always been the entitled, thick-as-pig-shit aspie fanboys who take this mucking kids show far more seriously than their real life commitments, and that's never going to change no matter who's in charge. Look in the mirror and see the real enemy before it's too late ya virgin marys

Oh shut up Zarius. Your one-note ass-worshipping of everything related to NuPoo is deeply tiresome.
No one will be happier than me if Capaldi gets the scripts he deserves. If it's the same s**t as last season, however, it will be an appalling waste of potentially one of the best Doctors ever. The current team need to up their game considerably, and one can only hope that this casting is a sign that they know it.
(Doctor Who) has been hijacked and redefined as a lucrative modern franchise. They've literally taken a square peg and painfully made it fit a round hole by taking enormous liberties with much of its fundamental essence. There's no turning back now.

You're friend is an idiot if she thinks the casting choice for the Doctor is racist or sexist, she needs to get her priorities right about things that really are.

Lots of fictional characters are a particular colour and gender, that's how they were invented, so what? The only problems are when they are racial or gender stereotypes. Maybe the Doctor is Gallifreyanist? Or more likely the Master, I mean what a negative image of a whole planet of people to make on of the recurring characters.

I've also known "Dr Who" to be Dalekist... there must be some nice ones, surely? Why does it always show them in such a negative light?

Thanks. I thought she was being idiotic myself. Daleks aren't all evil?? Mine eyes have seen the glory!

Well, actually they are. it's in the job description, really - "wipe out all other life forms".

(Admittedly that would also make the human race fairly evil towards 1000s of other species on this planet....)
