The BBC America series celebrating each of the actors to have played the Doctor will be shown on Watch, the channel’s schedule has revealed.
The Doctors Revisited will be broadcast at weekends with the first episode The First Doctor being shown on Saturday 1th September at 2pm, followed by a screening of The Aztecs. On Sunday at the same time The Second Doctor will be shown followed by a screening of The Tomb of the Cybermen. The following weekend will see The Third Doctor accompanied by Spearhead From Space, and on Sunday The Fourth Doctor and The Pyramids of Mars.
The documentaries were originally shown monthy on BBC America, and were also broadcast in Australia and New Zealand in August by BBC Worldwide’s UKTV.
Also being broadcast on Watch to accompany Doctor Who Revisited are the documentaries The Companions at 4.30pm and Doctor Who Explained at 5.30pm, both of which are repeated before The Second Doctor on the Sunday.
Watch’s schedules do not currently extend beyond the 20th October, but based on the pattern above the Fifth and Sixth Doctors are expected on 26th/27th October, Seventh and Eighth Doctors on 2nd/3rd November, Ninth and Tenth Doctors on 9th/10th November, and the Eleventh Doctor on the 16th, completing the series one week before the 50th anniversary.
