Re: The 3 DALEK Movies vs. the 3 TV Versions: Which Are Best?

The one thing I do like about Dalek Invasion of Earth 2150 film, over the original TV version, is the Dalek spaceship....

That's it...

PS. Oh.. And of course Philip Madoc's slimeball... ("That man should have been cast as The Master", Heccypoo repeats ad nauseum)

Re: Redesigning classic foes

For all the justified criticism of the re-design of the Sontarans, Silurians etc. I really think that the Cybermen got the worst of all treatments. How genuinely creepy and frightening is the concept of a villain that doesn't just want to simply conquer you, but wants to turn you into them in the p...

The Time Meddler. The Tomb of The Cybermen. The Claws of Axos The Brain of Morbius. The Visitation. The Mark of The Rani. Remembrance of The Daleks. The McGann TV movie. Nothing from Eccleston  Nothing from Tennent. The Eleventh Hour. Nothing from Capaldi ( Nothing wrong with him,...

It could be called Touch Cloth or something similar...
Or how about an anagram of "Doctor Who" ?! Because that would be so subtle, and we could feel really smug and superior.

"Hoot Crowd", perhaps?

Re: THE TARDIS CONSOLE ROOM: Your Top 10 Choices

The first Cushing interior is just plain silly but plays into the idea that he was a silly old inventor... a junk room instead of a place where it was resting. The second almost plays into UK sci-fi Gerry Anderson styles. Barry Gray suppled the sound effects for the Cushing movies... I'll...

Re: THE TARDIS CONSOLE ROOM: Your Top 10 Choices

I am more of a fan of the classic console era Time Rotor, rising and falling, rather than being connected to the TARDIS ceiling... Definitely... There were times when watching it rhythmically rise and fall was almost hypnotic. Though I liked the overall design of the Matt Smith/Peter Capa...

I absolutely hate the Eccelston/Tennent console rooms.

To me, they are just dirty and dinghy and not the reassuring place the classic TARDIS was.

Re: THE TARDIS CONSOLE ROOM: Your Top 10 Choices

It was probably pure nostalgia that made me use two votes on the Cushing Dalek movie interiors. Yes, they were a mess and owed nothing to the Classic designs, but I would - rightly or wrongly - still take them over any New Who design. :) D-lmIml2pcQ twrB1RbB7jc Though, I'm not a fan of them, the Pe...

It pains me to admit it, but Fake Doctor Ruth's TARDIS console room is the best they've ever had in Nu Poo...

But still no where near as good as any of the classic era ones.

Re: Radio Times poll for 'Best Doctor'

I'm surprised Paul McGann did so well with only one televised story. Yes, I thought this was highly unlikely. Unless he's done well from being around in other things in recent years. As for 'her' getting in second place maybe it's just BBC propaganda? Or maybe Chinballs the Hutt was busy voting mor...
