Re: What Would it Take for You Switch On to Doctor Who?

Complete reworking of the show. Complete reboot. An episode where the Doctor, in whatever form they're on at this point, says... "This has gone too far. When I throw this switch, time will begin without anyone knowing the name....Doctor. I miss being a traveler. I miss being unknown. I miss...I miss...

Looks like the money might be best saved than going to a special presentation of it at the local cinemas. Thanks, guys!;)

This is not going very well, is it? The more I read, the more it seems like every story is inches away from Cyberwoman territory.

Re: Rate "The Ghost Monument"

Overall, it sounds like what I feared could be a problem is a problem... the writing. It doesn't sound like anybody's taking anything seriously....again. I know Classic WHO wasn't the best always in that regard. But those episodes were rightly considered crap. Taking things seriously doesn't mean sp...

I think it's both that flag but also, judging by the colors, a reference to Tom's scarf.

I've never seen Tom with such slicked back hair before. Definitely a different look for him.

Re: New Doctor announced on Sunday

Maybe Chibnall will be the reverse of Moffatt... I loved Moffatt's work prior to him running things. Chibnall's work has been awful so far. Maybe running things, he'll be great! Because that's the only way this won't end up tanking things. I don't know if any lift this'll get from fans who will watc...

Re: Steven Moffat: So Long and Thanks for all the Fish Finge

If we can get stories that don't suck, then much can be glossed over. If the character's womanhood becomes a central focus to the exclusion of the plot, then it'll be the same problem I've had with characters like Bill, Clara, etc. Nobody lets characters get involved in stories anymore. The characte...

Re: Moffat reveals how he will destroy DOCTOR WHO

Shockingly, he can't. What a grand conspiracy that 97% of all scientific inquiry comes to the same conclusion. Also, bikes being more polluting than cars is accurate....if you mean motorcycles and scooters. And even that is up for debate. http://www.greencarreports.com/news/1067907_motorcycles-are-m...

I love how anytime something positive happens that throws off 20 year old climate change models immediately disproves the models. ....while also ignoring the models that correctly call out what happens if we change policies to reduce the damaging effects of our pollution. http://www.skepticalscience...

Aaaaaaaaaaaand immediately suspicious of any link containing the word 'Breitbart' or CNS News. Let's see what the actual context is... Nice interview. It was clear that Tom knew the answers were more likely to be heard by an older audience but he wasn't too adult.

Re: Rate "Under The Lake"

I gave it a 9/10. I likely overreached on the score but after some of the witless dreck I'd watched from previous seasons when I've dared try to watch the new stuff again (I gave up trying to watch every episode after Tennant's second season), I was impressed that I actually enjoyed that one. The jo...
