Re: Dr. Who - Fury from the Deep Animation

If I was being ultra critical I’d say that some of the animation is a little bit South Park, with characters appearing to hover above backgrounds rather than standing on the ground, Troughton's face is a bit ‘lumpy’ and his hand when he’s rowing is enormous and some of the shots go on too long and c...

Re: Dr. Who - Fury from the Deep Animation

Watching now. I think it’s great. Another good documentary in The Cruel Sea. And another Master ‘wanted’ poster to look out for. Very watchable.

Stritcly's Christmas Special reportedly not on this year...possible highlights package may be shown, or maybe they could slot in Who?

Re: SERIES 12 SPOILERS

I'm hearing a lot of chatter on Twitter that the production team are thinking of getting rid of the Police Box exterior for the TARDIS. That would be the final nail in the coffin of the show. 1272316407536115714 So, Chibnall hated the JN-T era at the time but he’s using exactly the same cheap trick...

Re: Doctor Who - The Collection - Season 26

Not my favourite era, but I decided I wanted the full set of blu ray seasons so I purchased the US McCoy Complete Season 3 blu ray boxset. I enjoy watching Cartmel because although I think his ideas on Doctor Who are NOT really Doctor Who, at least he had ideas and gave us two really good stories u...

Re: Doctor Who The Collection - S14

The film sequences for Mandragora are absolutely filthy. I know they probably don’t exist in their original form but it looks as though there’s been no cleanup done whatsoever at any point. Shame.

Talons is my favourite, along with Assassin. Can’t wait to see it for myself - if I get my copy.
Fingers crossed. Where did you order yours from?

Re: Doctor Who The Collection - S14

Received today. Just watched Talons. Always forget just how good it really is. And it looks great. The new FX work quite well. Luckily the rat is kept very much in the shadows so it doesn't look too bad at all. Slots in very well with the existing footage especially when it's chowing down on Chang....

Re: Rate "The Haunting of Villa Diodati"

Credit where credit's due, that was probably the best episode since RTD left. I know that's not saying much but I quite enjoyed it. It was ridiculously slow to get going though, the guest cast characterisations were lacking and there is definitely a problem when the weakest link is your leading lady...

Re: Doctor Who - The Collection - Season 26

I watched Ghost Light last night, the picture quality is shocking, too soft and motion blur on some images especially noticeable on episode 1. Dropped in Battlefield VHS extended version , just to see if there was any picture improvement, no chance!!. I know this was shot on video but so was Davids...

Re: Rate "Fugitive of the Judoon"

Quite enjoyed that. Very ‘story lite’ but if it’s setting up something for the second half of the series that actually pays off then fair enough. I won’t hold my breath though. As for this other Doctor, we never actually saw the 2nd regenerate into the 3rd so Chibnall might be trying to put his litt...
