Re: Peter Miles RIP

He was a class actor and totally underrated. Sad to hear he has gone, they don't make actors like that anymore and with each passing year our heritage becomes a little bit poorer

This Aussie SF film sounds quite good http://www.slashfilm.com/upgrade-review-sxsw-2018/ whenever they get around to releasing it.

Re: Classic Who vs. NuWho

Once again, JMW, you are failing to recognise that when people use terms like good or bad it is shorthand for not to their tastes. You could also argue that just because something is popular doesn’t mean that it is good, c.f. ad populum fallacy. For somebody who likes to constantly point at people'...

Re: Is the BBC doomed?

I listen to a podcast about the business of entertainment, and the fascinating thing is where TV is headed. They keep talking about how there won't *be* networks in ten to fifteen years, and that's one of the things that makes me wonder about the future of government broadcasters. So many people sim...

Re: Animating lost episodes

I believe they are saying they got the Invasion animation cheap! Having done such animation before, I can say that the greater challenge is time more than equipment and software. It's arduous and time-consuming work just to getting the mouths to synch up to dialogue. The Invasion animation even ref...
