Re: Rate "The Mutants"

Colonial expansionism in Africa and other places gets the outer space treatment here with a solid looking alien race that isn't evil for once and is just the indeterminate stage of a humanoid race before it transcends to near godhood! The Time Lords send a befuddled Pertwee and Jo to a planet in the...

Re: Rate "The Green Death"

The one with the Maggots is the usual way people ask about this one! It was so good how the series challenged the evils of pollution and indolence by the supposed leaders of this country and the rest of the world back in the day! Not sure what they'd make of the world today as it's run now by a grou...

Re: Rate "The Time Warrior"

The Sontarans were never made to be laughed at! This and their next story shows them as a considerable menace to both the future of the earth and space in general! The Doctor couldn't defeat Linx by physical means and had to use his superior mind. This is also the first story to reveal the name of t...

Re: Rate "The Monster of Peladon"

Now since the BBC showed Curse of Peladon in 1982 in it's Doctor Who And The Monsters series will we get Monster of Peladon repeated in 2032 as it's set fifty years after Curse? I could never get enough Ice Warriors as a youngster so can't really accept that people don't really like this one!

Re: Rate "The Time Monster"

I loved this one with all the TARDIS interior scenes! The Master's TARDIS only differed with a metal rotor instead of the plastic job we get with the usual set! Strange how both TARDIS's had the same desktop unless Delgado's Master was watching from afar and liked what he saw Pertwee doing with his ...

Re: Rate "The Claws of Axos"

I loved all that fiddling about with the TARDIS console and the first materialisation of the trusty time capsule in nearly two long years! After this we would get at least two or three stories a year with the TARDIS again! Here we get the battered old prop leave earth, appear inside Axos and then hi...

Re: Rate "Invasion of the Dinosaurs"

I'd have given it higher points if not for that Tyrannosaurus! It looked great while sleeping. Very devilishly sly that it seemed to be listening while UNIT was in the warehouse! The other dinosaurs didn't seem as weak as Rex! strange how two guys watched this in the seventies and then based their o...

The subject of an evil Doctor in the Inferno world is best left forgotten I think! They had their chance and didn't take it so then we should leave it alone too!

Re: Rate "Frontier in Space"

I had thoughts about that too, Doc but then how would you explain Peter Pratt's nehru jacket under his cowl and rags in The Deadly Assassin? Plus The Master is clearly destroyed in The TV Movie and that would be too hard to navigate around in his history with the later Doctors! :master1:

Re: JNT: Which Was His Best Season?

I had a lot of faith in JNT after The Master returned in Keeper of Traken/Logopolis but that diminished a little with Castrovalva and went up greatly again with Earthshock and the long awaited comeback of The Cybermen but with series 20 and the poor production work and dull stories my interest waned...

Re: 2017-2020 Merchandise

I bought the UNIT set yesterday as that one had been eluding my grasping fingers but I wonder how well the Mrs.Who sets are selling? I already have the Romana box but there were plenty of them and absolutely loads of the Mrs.Who stuff on the shelves! Now either they're too expensive or nobody is int...

Thanks, Shuzbot! But I don't think wearing face masks everywhere in the venue will work so maybe it is better to put it further back, I don't know? ;)

Bedford in Sept/Oct 2020

I'm still wondering if the Bedford charity con is going to be on this year at all? It was postponed from May due to you know what and there was a hope we might be able to go later in the year but I can't see it happening ...... :hurts:

Re: THE MOVIE MCCOY: Sylvester's Finest "Hour" (or Non-Canon)?

Yes I liked Sylvester in this one! Happy and content in his TARDIS after all those years of ferrying annoying humans in time and space and his chance to end his feud with the Master who he believed was dead! The half human thing and the fact that the Daleks would let the Doctor land on Skaro to pick...
