Producer and performer Rupert Hine has gone.

If you’ve never heard it his early 80’s album Immunity is rather good.

The second to go. June died a few years back and, as talented as she was, she had a very troubled life.

14's a reasonable age for a cat*. I guess relying on the kindness of strangers worked for him.

*Although my sister's cat died recently at the age of 22. But back when I used to keep cats in profusion - before I discovered the love of my life (and rediscovered Dr Who) - we considered 14 to be a good innings.

My long deceased friend, writer Richard Carpenter, thought the world of Ian Holme I remember. My main memory of Sir Ian's work was as Ash in the first Alien film.

That happened to one of ours, too. And one disappeared without trace, never to be seen again.

Didn't reckon much on his two Batman films. Still RIP and all that.

He directed some very memorable 90s movies besides those. Falling Down is a favourite.

My cat died last year. No one else was involved, he was just very greedy and died while lying down. He was about 11/12. Still miss the little fella though.
