What should I spend my saving of one whole pound on ??

Wonder likeness, amazing......just think for £14.99 you could feed a family of four from Glasgow fried Mars bars for a day.

Buy a house and save your money.

That's a bit harsh, although it certainly describes the 'City Dalek'. The paint jobs do seem to vary as do the sculpts. The Invasion Cyberman looks very disappointing. Most of the new stuff is stunning, which suggests more care is taken with with it! Not good.

The first bonus Dalek was sent out this month it's the Black Dalek from The Daleks' Master Plan. It's smaller than the standard size figures for some reason so I assume the base unit will be smaller too.
Right, cheers.

Is it just me or does anyone else thinks some of the recent figures have been a bit naff? I'm talking in particular about the lop-sided Invasion Cyberman who likes like he's about to fall over (or I just got a rubbish one), the Dalek from The Daleks (terrible paint job) and the 4th Doctor (terrible likeness).

When you consider the quality of the Slitheen, Ice Warrior, Judoon, Davros, etc they really are a bit hit and miss.

Am I being over critical or does anyone else agree?

I haven't bought any of them because I thought they looked shoddy! The only ones I liked were the ones you could only get if you subscribed to the magazine.

The Invasion Cyberman turned out to be far better than expected. On balance I've been very happy with the product. 'Shoddy' is not the word I'd use to describe them.

Look at this weeks Special Weapon's Dalek - surely that is not the correct scale? It looks too thin and is lesser in height than Davros!!!!

Is it a regular figure or a special? The special Dalek figures are smaller than the regular figures for some reason.

It's a regular issue- very disappointing.

Oh dear, no wonder he moves on to the magazine rather sharpish.

See what you mean. It's not great is it?.

I wonder if the reason the new series ones gain more praise is that when they're designed, some form of 3D model is then available for merchandisers. In essence it's harder to go wrong.

CO for their range generally go the extra mile. Wonder if the budget isn't there , or won't be found for these and they go with data they have, and use slightly differing production methodology.

Or is that just overthinking?.

It's looking a little plumper than I remember. Sad when these old stars loose their looks.
My next door neighbour mixed up her KY jelly with the superglue. I asked her how she managed that but her lips are sealed.

Classy paint job. Really don't see it's size can be an excuse.

I can't say I'm surprised. I cancelled my premium subscription because I wasn't at all happy with the quality of the figurines. The paint jobs in particular were poor, in my opinion.

I only bought three of the figurines in the end, a Skaro City Dalek, Omega and the Fourth Doctor.

Sad to say, I wasn't very impressed. All three had bad paint jobs, were chipped and are very fragile.

I'm so glad this is one magazine I didn't get suckered into buying.
