Who made the Police Boxes, are they Character Options?

Hope I've got the hang of this now. This is a bit of a passion with me so hope you like em. The first one is a box that was originally made in 1992, as a Hartnell box, it wasn't really accurate so during 2007 - 2009 I converted it into a MK 2 met box.

Then came the conversion and it now looks like this.

I'll dig some more pics out if this works. It's about three foot tall this model and weighs a ton, back in those days I used to make them from solid wood now I've found much lighter materials to use that are just as strong so lifting them isn't as much of a problem :D

Hi Robert, have a look on my Photobucket page, there's loads more including some real boxes that might be of interest. There is the classic MK 2 at the tramway museum and a new modern box that has been sited in Preston.

It's under 'greystone_06'.

This is a modern take on the police box sited in Preston. It has three computer interfaces and in its own way is very impressive. The first one of this kind was sited in glasgow and is identicle.

Maybe this will stir the memory Anji, a classic mk 2 from Cric tramway museum.

And a pretty good mock up at Wetherby.

And the final shot is the size difference between a Mk 2 box and the original prop.
