"Coming soon from BIG FINISH Productions..........."

There are still plenty of supporting characters who appeared in perhaps just one Classic Who adventure for a few seconds that could, nonetheless, have their own expensively priced series of box set adventures...

Nominate some here.... :)

- Don't worry about the actor/actress having passed on. They can just be badly recast. :death:

THE OVERWATER MENACE TRILOGY

An epic prequel tale, stretching over three box sets, charting the course of Zarrof's life, leading up to his finding arguably the silliest of three versions of Atlantis and ending just in time for his fateful meeting with "Doctor W".

"COMING SOON FROM BIG FINISH PRODUCTIONS...."

THE FABIAN CHRONICLES

Commander Fabian and her adventures after getting sacked for foolishly obeying a direct order from the wrong Minister.

The middle box set is mostly a kind of slice of life adventure, as she goes shopping etc, with a much criticised episode where she just chats about winning the lottery to her nosey neighbour - and another sweary bit where her hover-car won't start.

Then Hugo Lang turns up, offering her one last shot at glory, but will she risk her bones again?

(3 x box sets)

DAMIEN & THE DOOR

An offbeat (sadly unfinished) release from BIG FINISH, charting the life of one Damien Podfellows as, through no fault of his own, he finds himself converted into a Cyberman after a trip to Floriana goes horribly wrong.

Battling to retain his humanity, he stumbles on a mysterious predictive crystal on the planet Junk during one Cyber raid, which gives him dire warnings that all involve the same word.... "door".

Can he escape his fate?

Perhaps one of BF'S most tragic tales and a contender for whatever these things contend for.

(2 x box sets as they forgot to write the third one.)

THE RAIDER CHRONICLES - Vol. 1: "What Raider Did Next"

After refusing earnest, repeated pleas to "COME IN!" and running out on Advance Party, a much neglected fan-itch is at long last scratched - as we finally get to find out where the mysterious Raider went afterwards.

Starring someone who was walking past the studio on recording day as the emotionally stunted, but fun Percy Raider, with a chilling guest appearance from Liza Goddard as a vengeful Kari.

(1 x box set, then cancelled - as it really didn't sell all that well.) :death:

I have enjoyed a coupe of Big Finish Doctor Who's they've recorded.

And I bought the Captain Scarlet audio stories, the original ones recorded in the 1960's. They did a good job of remastering them..

Apart from that, I hope they crash and burn.

Though I am glad they've kept many a classic Who actor in regular pennies over the years....

But enough of the picking of the last remains of Doctor Who's corpse.

Big Finish are a sh*t show, fan wankers of the first degree.
Now that we all know about the rude bits, aren't they rude? And as we get older, they get ruder and ruder.

Nick Briggs is scouring this thread as we speak.
(Doctor Who) has been hijacked and redefined as a lucrative modern franchise. They've literally taken a square peg and painfully made it fit a round hole by taking enormous liberties with much of its fundamental essence. There's no turning back now.

Come on guys, where’s the Filer Files?

A dead set cert if ever I’ve seen one.

I reckon I can even work in a time travel one where Bill Filer teams up with the Paternoster Crew when he accidentally gets sent back to Victorian times and battles a lone Kraal hellbent on conquering Earth.

Full of android duplicates and eyepatches. What more would you want?

A ROBOMAN'S JOURNEY

Volume 1: Ruin of a Man

Volume 2: Lost on the Motorway

Volume 3: I appear to be stuck in a Field

Volume 4: Oh, I Recognise This Shopping Centre!

Volume 5: The Bloody River Thames at Last!

A highly acclaimed and much sought after five volume set, detailing the crippling physical and psychological journey of a malfunctioning Roboman as he wanders - lost and lonely - through the devastation of a post Dalek-Invasion London.

Dominic Ardus had it all: A wife, a boyfriend, an 85 inch televison - and an addiction to raspberry flavoured porridge.

All that comes to a horrifying end when the Daleks invade Earth and he is soon converted into a soulless Roboman.

Volume 1 ends with his conditioning breaking down, as he decides he wants to go back to the River Thames "Because it's there!", with the following volumes detailing his long and arduous journey to get there.

Along the way he discovers many truths, such as that even Robomen need umbrellas, that brick walls won't move out of your way - and that rats should really be cooked first.

Haunted by flashbacks involving loads of bad actors and actresses, Ted struggles to retain his dignity in the face of a broken world and the fact that he now really smells quite badly.

Dove-tailing neatly into the Hartnell epic, this is one not to be missed.

A day in the life of a Zarbi. 8-)
The Doctor died with Capaldi. The Chibnall era is non-canon.

There are no Doctors before William Hartnell.

Without respect, we reject.

THE BING DILEMMA

After the continuity disaster that was DIMENSIONS IN SILVER (the series cancelled at volume 24 and refunds given - clearly written as it was by someone who had never been paying proper attention to EARTHSHOCK  ), Big Finish are now firmly back in business with THE BING DILEMMA, the story of a perfectly detailed and exact Dalek duplicate of the famous actor and singer who is sent to destroy the real Bing Crosby.

But, with an entire galaxy at stake will the impostor be uncovered in time?

And why does one of the Bings have roundels behind him in this picture?

The Ark: sixteen box sets set on the ark before the Doctor,Steven and Dodo first land.

Young Bambera: an ongoing series with a young Lieutenant Bambera. And Nicholas Briggs as Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart, so convincing you can't tell the difference from the real thing.

Twenty box sets about the wacky goings-on at the location of Dragonfire.

Trapped in the Time Vortex: you thought the Fourth Doctor and Romana were held in suspended animation during The Five Doctors, didn't you? Wrong! They actually had sixteen box sets worth of adventures. Also featuring Rufus Hound as the Meddling Monk and Nicholas Briggs as the Daleks.

SOLON'S PATCHWORK TALES

The story behind every bit of the Morbius patchwork body, told through the history and lives of each part prior to their destined meeting with both a hacksaw and each other in Solon's laboratory.

Culminating in a bleakly humorous final box set about that crashed Mutt thing, PEZZLE THE UNUSED HEAD, this is a series not to be missed.

Amongst the other acclaimed box sets in this series are CONDO THE LEFT ARM, KRODD THE BUTTOCKS and the deeply moving KRIZZLE THE RIGHT PINCER.

HIPPO'S WAR

Deeply affected by the impossibility of seeing a transmat capsule disappear - added to being bullied for years, Tarquin "Hippo" Ibbotson has snapped and had enough - and is out for revenge on a world - and ultimately universe - that scorned him.

This 25 volume box set follows the dull and fat and ugly journey up the ladder of corporate power of this much maligned figure, leading to a chilling date with destiny in the shape of an ambitious woman called Sally Mander, as she prepares for her gender reassignment.

But will Ibbotson, with his plan to hide people underground and fake earthquakes etc, survive Sally's ruthless schemes and intentions - as they both become at first saviours - and then enemies of the world? Or will he be left behind?

Acclaimed as "better than the entire Davison Era!" by one of the catering staff at Big Finish, this phenomenal series promises to overturn everything you thought you knew about "Hippo" Ibbotson.

THE TAXI CHRONICLES OF SEBASTIAN WRIGHT

It ended in tragedy in a warehouse near Covent Garden, for Sebastian Wright (or it might be Lopez, the listener is left to make their own stupid mind up), but this opulent 10 box set comedy/drama chronicles the entire journey to that fateful date with Wotan-induced destiny as we hear the life of this continually fascinating and enigmatic character.

Sebastian Wright had it all. A huge conglomerate business, a wife who doted on him and his daughter, Polly, but a terrible meeting with the sinister Mister Masters leaves his mind affected and he leaves it all behind in order to drive around in taxis that he can't pay for - all day.

Along the way we get to see and hear him chatting to other taxi passengers, with many cameos from the world of Doctor Who, including River Song. Captain Jack Harkness and a confused, retired Brigadier who is in the wrong time zone - again.

But lurking in the background is the oncoming storm of not only a fleeting reunion with his own daughter, who will pay his last taxi fare, but his own tragic doom.

Nominated as "looks alright" by a woman who was shown the cover in HMV, this acclaimed series just needs swapping for your money and all will be well.

For an extra £25, you can get the whole series shoe-horned into an exacting tin replica of the very taxi that was featured in THE WAR MACHINES, with a folded up copy of the newspaper shown in that story inside, complete with original headline.
