What did you think of the BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY movie in the end, Heccypoo?

I really enjoyed it and bought the Blu Ray.

True it takes a lot of liberties with history, but no biopic is 100% accurate.

Yeah, I would never have known what the differences were until I watched a video listing them.

I thought it did what it set out to do and also got newbies into QUEEN in the process. :)
A canny move by Brian May & Roger Taylor.

By not making it a 'R' rated film, like what Sacha Baron Cohen wanted to make, a lot of kids could go and see it, and buy loads of Queen guff after.. 8-)
Now that we all know about the rude bits, aren't they rude? And as we get older, they get ruder and ruder.

I never could see Sacha in that role. He said, of course, that one of the reasons he walked away from the project was because Brian May wanted the movie to have Freddie die halfway through - and the rest of the film would be about Queen carrying on. Obviously that idea got dropped eventually, but I am still glad that Sacha walked away, for whatever reason! They cast the right man in the role imo. :)

Brian May: 'Thank God' Rami Malek played Freddie Mercury

(24 Oct 2018) At the London premiere of "Bohemian Rhapsody," Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor admire Rami Malek's portrayal of late singer Freddie Mercury, while Malek basks in their approval. (Oct. 24)

I never watched Mr Robot, or anything else Rami Malek has been in, but I thought he was perfect as Freddie Mercury.

I don't think Ali G could have brought the vulnerability that Malek brought to the role.

The whole of the band, together, were a power house live...

This is one of my favourites.

The Doctor died with Capaldi. The Chibnall era is non-canon.

There are no Doctors before William Hartnell.

Without respect, we reject.
