Also listen closely to Alderton, you might have a good laugh...
(The Cyberman) "has a personality - which is so rare!" - Does she mean among Cybermen, or Chibnall era characters?

Doctor Who ‘Ascension of the Cybermen’: guest cast and character names

https://cultbox.co.uk/news/doctor-who-a ... cter-names

Julie's character is called Ravio

So if she's a Doctor...that makes two of them that have Rs in their forename...

Apparently something kicked off on GB the other night with the alleged return of ohffchibnall, who leaked much of this series to the fandom. People suspect this might be an alternate but hacked account, buta whole page of posts and replies were deleted after trolls accusations flew...also the post was described as 'garbled', though someone deciphered the new leaks, so here they are...take with a grain

Source: Zurgatronic, GB (deciphering from ohffchibnall)
from what I could decipher from the somewhat garbled way they were written:
The Doctor gets cyber-converted. Captain Jack reverses time to undo this, but in the process Thirteen's consciousness is sent back to Ruth, which is how we see all the Timeless Child stuff unfold. Her consciousness then returns to Thirteen's body. The Cyberman plot remains unresolved and the companions are abandoned on Mondas. I might be forgetting some details as it was written in a very confusing way.

I wouldn't put much stock in it, especially as Chibnall has outright said Jack is not coming back in S12 (my guess is we'll see him in the Dalek special).

The post from offschibnall/offselectricboogaloo has been restored
Apparently the Doctor gets converted into a Cyberman by the end of episode 9, but Captain Jack manages to reverse time with a machine feeding off of the TARDIS, which the Doctor set up. He doesn't know how it works, so he accidentally send the Doctor's consciousness into her body when she was Ruth and getting kidnapped, which leads into the Child in Time plotline and her discovering the truth. As far as I know, the Doctor gets back into his Whittaker body by destroying Gallifrey's timeline and collapsing herself back to present, but she just leaves after that. The cybermen plotline isn't resolved, possibly as bait for the special or season 13. She also travels off alone, leaving Graham, Ryan, and Yaz on Mondas. This is as far as my information goes, I don't know anyone working on the christmas special.

If most of that is true, what a bloody messy runaround. Do these things have to be so clever-clever?

That storyline sits better with me than suddenly having a bunch of female Doctors inexplicably preceding William Hartnell's Doctor, however convoluted it may seem.

Spoilers were fake after all, the real ffschibnall came back to clarify
Hi guys, unless there's some weird Timeless Child/Ruth shenanigans going on, this isn't me! My source didn't mention any of this, and as it's so major I doubt he would've left it out. Fake, sorry.

AFAIK Episode 9 ends with the Master returning, but I don't know anything further than that, apologies. Between my original account and this one I've posted everything I know, so it remains to be seen how it all plays out in the actual episodes! Enjoy

the #DoctorWho trailer bbca posted cut out 2 bits from the tv one that I haven't seen online (yaz saying "you need to let us out" and the lone cyberman saying "the ascension shall begin"), so I figured I'd post it if anyone wanted to see :p

Does Julie Graham come off a bit...Doctory to you?
Yes - I believe she is one of the "lost regeneration cycle Doctor's"
"It can become a kind of franchise where it's not a real character at all, but just an amalgam of elements that people think are Doctor Who: a scarf, a bow tie... I wanted to be the actual Doctor Who." - Peter Capaldi

Chibnall is more tight-lipped about “The Timeless Children.”

“We’ve been playing out this mystery for a while now,” he says. “Obviously the Timeless Child was first mentioned in Jodie’s second episode and then came back in force when the Master returned at the beginning of this season and told her that everything she knows is a lie. ‘The Timeless Children’ plural! will pay off a lot of the strands that we’ve set running both last year and this year. I’m going to do classic British understatement here: It’s a relatively seismic episode for the Doctor, and for the show. You will get some answers, but you will also be left with a whole load of new questions in true Doctor Who style.”

Timeless Children synopsis
In the epic and emotional series finale, the Cybermen are on the march. As the last remaining humans are ruthlessly hunted down, Graham, Ryan and Yaz face a terrifying fight to survive. Civilisations fall. Others rise anew. Lies are exposed, truths are revealed, battles are fought, and for the Doctor — trapped and alone — nothing will ever be the same again.
A partial guest cast list was also released for The Timeless Children. Reprising their roles are Patrick O’Kane as the zealot Cyberman formerly called Ashad and Julie Graham as Ravio. Also announced is Barack Stemis as a character named Fakout.

Chibnall on coming back for series thirteen and when we might expect it
Doctor Who showrunner Chris Chibnall has confirmed that he is returning to oversee the next season of the British time travel show. The current season, the second on which Chibnall has been showrunner and the second to star Jodie Whittaker, is airing Sunday nights on BBC America.

“I do know I’m coming back for a third season,” Chibnall tells EW. “Yeah, absolutely. We are already planning the stories. Once you see the end of this series, you’ll realize there are some stories we’re already setting in train for next series. We have very big, ambitious plans for our third series together.”

“It will be next year sometime, hopefully, unless my holiday goes on for a really long time, which is always tempting,” he says.]
