One million dollars.
Yeah double that and take it back a few years to before Capaldi and have a decent producer (not showrunner as I hate that term) and do a show that fans and non fans can enjoy without an agenda or some stupid idea that a lunatic has come up with!

If the writing is good, the viewers will come back. Doctor Who is a big enough franchise that word of mouth will spread quickly. Look at the huge numbers at the start of Series 11. People were interested in seeing how good the show was going to be once Moffat had departed.

The problem, of course, is that the writing would need to be consistently good.

The 2009 Torchwood series is my preferred vision for the programme...one serial a year, played out over a week
