The Doctor's new rig-out then...

Look's like some sort of kiddie's TV presenter from the 70's...

I'm speechless.
The Doctor died with Capaldi. The Chibnall era is non-canon.

There are no Doctors before William Hartnell.

Without respect, we reject.

I rather like it - has echoes of the past while still being unique
"It can become a kind of franchise where it's not a real character at all, but just an amalgam of elements that people think are Doctor Who: a scarf, a bow tie... I wanted to be the actual Doctor Who." - Peter Capaldi

Ha! I'm not the only one who thought it then.

Having stated that, I like the new outfit...
I think people will get used to it...but the show itself will have to be confidently bold to go with that outfit.

For those experiencing overwhelming negative reaction, it may be that the new show runner is making no bones about it and signalling that this show is not for you any more.

I'm expecting that the younger viewers will be paramount now. Probably as it should be.

It's ok but suggests a light-hearted look. I think I preferred the hooded coat she wore for her reveal as the Doctor. Time will tell, of course.

Why is she dressed as Robin Williams in Mork and Mindy?
One morning I shot an elephant in my pajamas. How he got in my pajamas, I don't know.

I think it looks utterly awful, bland, and ill fitting.

hopefully, the costume will change next year when another actor is announced due to the ratings bomb

I'm sure you're right. The show's not really been for me for most of the time post Ecclestone but I've carried on through loyalty and happy childhood associations since Christmas-time 1963... I'll watch the Christmas episode and probably the first of the new series to see how she goes down, but after this I've no idea, but who cares except me anyway?

Not a very good start.

What a god awful, fashionably inept, costume.

Let’s hope the scripts compensate.

I think the most disappointing thing about is that having made the momentous decision to make the Doctor a woman they then duck out out of it by giving her a nondescript, truly awful costume.

If you cast a woman shouldn’t they look like one?

Underwhelming.

High waistline trousers, a la Simon Cowell.

The cow pat is a perfect metaphor. No manners but what a critic.

I think the braces are the worst part.

Braces look good on no one.

A proper pair of woman’s trousers would have worked a whole lot better.

Anyway ......

Culottes, or maybe Jeggings.
