Overall, last episode aside, his second season was vastly better than his first. There were some episodes that were actually quite good, something we couldn’t really say about his first effort.

There’s no reason not to believe, if he can curb his fanboy ego and not try and rewrite the whole history of the series, that the overall quality of his third season could also be an improvement on the second.

If he basis his whole season around his rewrite of the show’s history then he’s basically f*cked.

Not holding my breath for increase in quality though now he’s screwed the whole mythology surrounding the Doctor with his Timeless Children misstep.

If Zagreus had been a TV episode it would have been the timeless child

The second series was a bit better than the first, so he may be heading in the right direction - but I doubt if he's likely to have a talent infusion, so if anything much is going to improve it will depend on the other writers, I imagine.

Apart from Orphan 55, up until the last episode it was starting to look pretty good.

Ascension Island of the Cybermen was really quite good (it got the lowest number of zeros all season and I was starting to worry. Mondas isn’t Mondas without people giving New Who stories lots of zeros).

Of course Chibnall completely blew it in the next episode, but even then up until the Master killed the Lone Cyberman, (see I’ve forgotten his name already, I keep thinking it was Ashwin. An Indian spinner got converted) and it became all about him and Chibs’ ego, it was ok.

Here's a new short DW story that probably answers that question.

I liked it up until the fourth to the last paragraph.
We hope that our early successes make up for the embarrassing mess we’ve become. Like Facebook. Or America.

The only entertainment value now imo is watching this very public car crash continue in slow motion. You know the car could just stop and the passengers and driver get out, but they insist on driving on, even as the car disintegrates around them. :?

Oh well. Life goes on. 8-)
The Doctor died with Capaldi. The Chibnall era is non-canon.

There are no Doctors before William Hartnell.

Without respect, we reject.

Crap, does that mean they’ll be dusting off the green screen?

Perhaps Chibs is so bereft of ideas he’s remaking Underworld. :o

Assuming we didn't just blow our Covid response with the latest cases, they could always come and make the next series in NZ - after 2 weeks quarantine - like the Avatar bunch. (Plus we have some alien-looking landscapes...)

Come on Liz is Jacinda going to let anyone in from the UK at this juncture?

Sounds to me like the BBC have found the perfect excuse to stop making episodes with Jodie. I suspect that they will keep the delay going long enough for Jodie/Chibnall to move onto other projects (shelf-stacking in ASDAS) and then eventually do a soft reboot with a new showrunner and Doctor?

A big assumption, I know.

And while making such assumptions, I wonder if - if REVOLUTION OF THE DALEKS is Jodie's swansong, whether it will have a hastily green-screened "somewhere the tea's getting cold" coda sellotaped on the end of the episode?

Not that she will deliver it as well as Sylvester did. :(

The show's production is just too big.
