The final ratings for The Day of the Doctor have now been confirmed at a whopping 12.8 million viewers!
The episode was narrowly beaten on the night by Strictly Come Dancing but has now raced ahead, with the highest ever time-shift figures recorded for the series.
A further 2.7 million people accessed the episode via BBC iPlayer, with over a million downloads on Sunday 24th November alone, making it the most accessed programme for the month and the third highest for the year so far.
