With the 50th Anniversary fast approaching the official BBC Doctor Who website is on a quest to discover the ultimate Doctor Who villain:
As we approach the 50th anniversary we’re celebrating all those monsters, madmen and fabulous fiends that the Doctor has faced and we need your help to discover which one should be crowned ‘the ultimate’! Starting next week we’ll bring you the top ten contenders and following the reveal of the nominations, we’ll ask you to vote on this site to decide the outcome!
The votes will be counted and the results announced in the Doctor Who: Ultimate Monsters and Villains Weekend on BBC Three in November, as part of the celebrations to mark the 50 years of Doctor Who.
Over the next couple of weeks the official website will be sharing some great clips, facts and photos about various villains to help fans to decide who is the greatest.
Everyone has memories of a certain scene that chilled or thrilled them… The first time we saw a Dalek in all their sinister glory; the arrival of the merciless Cybermen or the time we were told not to blink as the Weeping Angels made their deadly debut… Or perhaps it’s a half-remembered moment featuring another baddie from Doctor Who’s incredible rogues’ gallery. So, share your memories with friends and family and try to decide which is the ultimate villain. Then cast your vote on this site and tune into BBC Three to find out the winner!
